Who runs this website?

Christopher Fisher, known as krystopfer, operates this personal portfolio in Scotland, United Kingdom, and is responsible for the personal information processed through it. For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact hello@krystopfer.com.

When you visit.

Cloudflare hosts and protects this website. Delivering pages involves technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. Operational and security records may be processed to deliver the site, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. The basis for this processing is the legitimate interest in running a reliable, secure website.

The sound and rhythm experiments run on your device. Their pointer movements, settings and generated audio are not recorded or sent to me. Microphone access is requested only if you press Record on a rhythm layer. After a visible countdown, the browser captures up to four seconds. Playback pauses and the microphone is not monitored through your speakers. The microphone stops after capture, cancellation or leaving the experiment. These clips stay in browser memory, are never uploaded, and are released when deleted or you leave the page. If you choose a music file for rhythm analysis, its audio is decoded and analysed locally in browser memory. It is not uploaded, added to your account or saved by this website. Remove the track or leave the page to release it. The built-in example is a synthetic audio file served from this website.

When you get in touch.

Email is handled using Apple iCloud Mail. If you email me, I receive your email address, name if supplied, message and any attachments. I use these to answer your enquiry and discuss work. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, or legitimate interests in responding to other correspondence. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, ongoing project or relationship and any applicable legal or accounting obligations. Retention depends on the purpose and whether the information is still needed. Contact me to request a review or deletion.

What stays in your browser?

This site stores your optional-service choices as krystopfer-privacy-v1 in local storage, with a 90-day expiry. This is used only to remember your privacy choice. If you change the theme or pause motion, krystopfer-theme and krystopfer-motion remember those requested preferences until you clear them. You can forget them using the control above. The website does not set its own advertising cookies.

Sharing and international processing.

Hosting, email and optional media providers may process information outside the UK. Their policies explain processing locations, applicable international transfer safeguards and their retention practices. I do not sell your enquiry details or use the simulations to build advertising profiles. I may disclose information where legally required or necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
